TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVES

Sidai is a vertically-integrated company supplying quality livestock inputs, crop inputs and services to farmers in Kenya. Sidai sells to distributors and stockists through its wholesale business.

We are seeking to recruit committed Technical Sales Representatives (Nairobi and Nyahururu). 

Main duties & responsibilities

  • Manage and grow distributors, agrovets, and key accounts in-market sales, distribution and merchandising in the assigned territory
  • Managing distributor inventory levels as per the contract agreement
  • Define, recommend & ensure execution of optimal Go-To-Market Strategy, key channels, key customers coverage & service requirements.
  • Delivering the sales KPI’s
  • Manage commercial projects, new channels, new customers, new business or geographic development as identified
  • Achieve periodical targets, by region, communicate and ensure plans to achieve set targets
  • KPIs and measurement tools to monitor performance/compliance
  • Ensure achievement of in-store execution excellence at POP (Look of success) with tools to track compliance
  • Develop and coach the team
  • Market / Trade Audits to identify market / prices changes
  • Planning and coordinating training activities
  • Market demand creation

 Key deliverables

  • Achievement of sales and profit targets
  • Achievement of brand objectives
  • Financial management – GP%, Debtors
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Excellent working relationship with all stakeholders
  • Use of sales application to track sales and regional activities

 Minimum qualifications  

  • Minimum of 3 years’ industry experience selling animal health and crop science products with proven track record
  • Valid riders license >1 years’ experience in riding
  • Valid driving license >1 years’ experience in driving
  • Relationship management with stockists, farmers and distributors
  • Experience in farmer training

Qualification, skills & competencies

Certificate, Diploma in Animal Health or Bachelors in Veterinary Medicine

· Must be registered by KVB

· Ability to travel / Away from base for extended periods
